Helen Lam is a Canadian narrative and VR designer with experience in the virtual and augmented reality mediums. She brings perspectives from a variety of mediums to each project, keen to experiment with the boundaries of each technology. Her throughline is always finding the value in the narrative structures across mediums and experiences. She is fascinated with extended reality technology (virtual reality, augmented reality etc.) and their impact on modern society. Her work has been featured in the 2021 Ars Electronica Festival as part of a showcase of collaborative video games made in 48 hours. Her recent project was an augmented reality experience, Now That I’m Here (2022), shown as part of the online exhibition Tender Circuits (tendercircuits.ca) through Ottawa’s Digital Arts Resource Centre.
