Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Andrés Jarach is a award-winning documentary director . Since 1998, Andrés directed more than twenty TV and online documentaries produced for french TV, mostly for Arte and France Télévisions and broadcasted worldwide : "Fumer Tue", "El gaucho", "Modern papa", "ABC de l'Homme", "Le jeune, un animal comme un autre", "Dessine-moi un Saint-Ex"... He recently directed "En Camping-Car", a documentary film for France Télévisions, based on the homonymous book written by Ivan Jablonka. In 2010, Andres starts also to work on interactive, virtual reality and augmented reality documentaries. After "Replay Memories", an interactive VR project about collective memories and archives, "1,2,3 Bruegel" ! and "Condamnés à jouer", all co-directed with his friend Gordon, "Classico" a VR piece retracing a football match between PSG vs OM is presented on PSG Stadium tour. Andrés is now working on others VR and AR pieces, among them : - A VR film, "Pierre Gagnaire - Flow", an exploration of creation in gastronomy. - "Biblioquête", an interactive experience that melds the classic of children's literature and AR. He has been member of the Digital Experiences Commission (2014-16) and the Documentary Commission (2016-20) of the Centre National de Cinema (CNC). In 2020, the FIPADOC asked him to be programmer of the SMART, the festival space dedicated to digital documentary experiences.
