STORIES OF THE FUTURE

We partnered with the Overview Collective and the RLab to bring together a group of Filmmakers, Storytellers and Developers to generate visionary ideas and build prototypes with XR technologies to raise awareness and promote positive changes to accelerate climate action. We had youth leaders like Alexandria Villaseñor and people from NYCEDC and Our Climate share their thoughts to inspire participants as well as speakers from Google, Stanford and NYU.
After a series of keynote speakers, participants will work in teams to reflect, ideate and create conceptual prototypes of their ideas with the help of XR experts. The aim of the event is to create new synergies amongst the XR community, welcome new adopters and generate valuable proposals with the potential to raise awareness and promote positive changes to accelerate climate action.
The winning team Edible Apartment (www.ediblepartment.com) shared their project at the NYC Media Lab Summit, which proposes using Mixed Reality to design your hydrophonic system at home making the most of the natural light.
