Why are we doing this
We are glad you ask.
Garage Stories was founded in 2017 to help entrepreneurs, creatives, and companies achieve success — by thinking differently, prototyping boldly, and telling better stories.
After years working with pioneers — from NASA to MoMA (you can see our full portfolio here) — Garage Café is our most ambitious and impactful project yet.
Using the same innovation-driven methodology we bring to teams and organizations, Garage Café turns the focus inward and shifts from success to satisfaction — helping people work on their most meaningful project yet: themselves.
Our approach blends design thinking, psychology, and creative resilience, powered by play and human connection; to adults reconnect with themselves, others, and their creative spark — through play, storytelling, and intentional community.

Garage Café Barcelona is a one-of-a-kind space — a cozy playground for creativity, curiosity, and connection, powered by play.
Around our communal 10-seat table, we offer you the space and the tools to reconnect with your playful side, discover what excites you, test new ideas, and explore your voice. Whether you want to sketch, write, build, just play or turn a hobby into a passion project, we give you the pathways and community to make it real.
"Who said that playing and having fun was just for kids?" Not Plato, nor we. He, in fact, said that an hour of play is worth a lifetime of conversation.
How it works
1. Book your spot
Our space is intimate — just 10 seats around the communal table. Reserve your time (we recommend booking 1 -2 hours per session), grab a coffee or tea (included with the price), and step into our cozy playground for creativity!
2. Show up & play
No need to be “good” at anything. You’ll sketch, write, tinker, or share — whatever helps you reconnect with your spark. No pressure — the only goal is to have fun.
3. Connect & grow
Share the space with fellow creatives, swap ideas, and leave lighter than you came.

Amenities
The garage has a big communal table with capacity for 10 people, a wall-wide shelf with stools & toys at your disposal, an advise bar where you can book time to talk to our ‘creative bartenders’ and a bar (you have to become a member) where you can purchase coffee, tea, wine, beer and a few sweet and savory snacks.

Our wall-wide shelf is divided by stages of creatity: inspiration - ideation - playing - sharing.
Inspiration
This is for those who still don't know what they want to do, or they are interested in expanding their options.
We have a collection of books, games and toys to let your creative juices start flowing.
Ideation
If you are interested in pursuing your hobby in a more professional way such a side hustle, we have plenty of tools and methodology to help you better understand how to build an action plan, and a unique value proposition to market yourself.
Playing
This is the best part! Draw, write, sew, build, break and build again!
We have different materials you can utilize to further develop and refine your craft!
We also have a professional studio on the basement where you can take photos or record videos.
Sharing
For those pursuing their hobby in a more professional wayWe have different tools to help you work on communication, marketing, public speaking, etc.
On Wednesdays we also our community night for people to share what they are working on (read below).
> The advise bar
Our creative bartenders are available for you to book their time (10 minutes at a time) to ask for advice: how can I learn X craft? How could I apply my talents? How can I become a professional at my hobby? Where can I look for funding? How can I overcome my creative block? How to be more present and less stressed? Anything! They will try their best to help you, and if they don't have an answer, we will follow up via email.
Professional consulting services: business & wellbeing
We also offer more in-depth forms of consulting, whether business (in-house) or wellbeing related (from our trusted network).

Once a month, you are welcome to join for some snacks and a drink to share what you are working on and support other creatives and their projects. You don't need to be a member to join.

We host some classes about philosophy, astronomy, drawing, architecture, cocktail making, etc.
