Garage Stories was founded in 2017 to help entrepreneurs, creatives, and companies achieve success — by thinking differently, prototyping boldly, and telling better stories.
After years working with pioneers — from NASA to MoMA (you can see our full portfolio here) — Garage Café is our most ambitious and impactful project yet.
Using the same innovation-driven methodology we bring to teams and organizations, Garage Café turns the focus inward and shifts from success to satisfaction — helping people work on their most meaningful project yet: themselves.
Our approach blends design thinking, psychology, and creative resilience, powered by play and human connection; to adults reconnect with themselves, others, and their creative spark — through play, storytelling, and intentional community.

Each month we explore a different creative muscle — from CURIOSITY (January 2026) to FAILURE (February 2026) or IDENTITY (March 2026).
Challenges unfold in a 4-week arc with tasks, prompts and tips.

You decide how deep to go — each challenge can be as light or as demanding as the time you have. Daily prompts and weekly tasks keep you moving without pressure.
At our COMMUNITY NIGHTS (normally the first Tuesday of every month between 6:30 to 9pm), you’re welcome to present your creation in a lightning talk — or just come to watch, connect, and get inspired.

At Garage Café, we apply the same innovation-driven methods we use with teams and organizations — but this time, the focus is inward. Instead of chasing success, we help you build satisfaction by working on your most meaningful project yet: yourself. Our approach blends design thinking, psychology, and creative resilience, powered by play and human connection.
We have designed 8 personalized pathways to help you reconnect with yourself, your creative spark and, eventually, dare to share your passion with the world.
With our onboarding questionnaire, you will unlock a personalized creative pathway — a guided journey through the four stages of creativity (Inspiration → Ideation → Playing → Sharing). Over 10 sessions, you’ll build habits, grow confidence, and discover your voice.
Inspiration
This is for those who still don't know what they want to do, or they are interested in expanding their options.
We have a designed a set of activities to let your creative juices start flowing. Our physical Garage Café is also a great place to get inspired!
Ideation
If you are interested in pursuing your hobby in a more professional way such a side hustle, we have plenty of tools and methodology to help you better understand how to build an action plan, and a unique value proposition to market yourself.
Playing
This is the best part! Draw, write, sew, build, break and build again!
We have different guided activities you can utilize to further develop and refine your craft!
You are also welcome to come play and prototype at our physical Garage Café!
Sharing
For those pursuing their hobby in a more professional way, we have different tools to help you work on communication, marketing, public speaking, etc.
On Wednesdays we also our community night for people to share what they are working on!
