Playground studio for creatives and technologists to build,  experiment and connect.

Join our Open Doors Day, every last Friday of the month!

Garage Stories first physical space — a studio for creatives and technologists to create and connect.

Garage Stories was born in 2016 in Palo Alto — at Startup Embassy’s garage in the heart of Silicon Valley — as a nomadic innovation lab. For a decade, we built programs across industries and cities.

In 2026, we opened our first permanent Garage by the beach in Barcelona, a physical lab for Garage Stories experiments that invites creatives and technologist to push the boundaries of the unknown.

Designed for Creatives & Technologists

Honoring our original mission of bridging Hollywood and Silicon Valley, the Garage is a tactile R&D lab. It is a playground for those working across media, immersive realities, and creative AI to pressure-test new tech and radical mindsets through active play.

Why Creatives and Technologists?

We believe that a lab fueled by human passion is the most powerful research environment in the world, and this is where the creative sector brings a unique vantage point. When you equip people passionate about exploration with the best tools, you push the boundaries of the unknown in ways a corporate boardroom never could.

> 1. Monthly Challenges

Each month we explore a different creative muscle — from CURIOSITY (January 2026) to FAILURE (February 2026) or IDENTITY (March 2026).

Challenges unfold in a 4-week arc with tasks, prompts and tips.

  • Week 1: Observe & collect sparks

  • Week 2: Turn insights into ideas

  • Week 3: Prototype & play

  • Week 4: Shape & share

You decide how deep to go — each challenge can be as light or as demanding as the time you have. Daily prompts and weekly tasks keep you moving without pressure.

At our monhtly SPARK NIGHTS (normally the last Wednesday of every month between 7:00 to 9pm), you’re welcome to present your creation in a lightning talk — or just come to watch, connect, and get inspired.

> 2. Personalized pathways

We have designed 8 personalized pathways to help you reconnect with yourself, your creative spark and, eventually, dare to share your passion with the world.

With our onboarding questionnaire, you will unlock a personalized creative pathway — a guided journey through the four stages of creativity (Inspiration → Ideation → Playing → Sharing). Over 10 sessions, you’ll build habits, grow confidence, and discover your voice.

Innovation with Soul

This isn’t a typical research lab where things are built just because they can be.

At Garage Stories, we don’t just ask how to build the future; we get into the ethical heartbeat of why we’re building it. We make space for the human questions, ensuring the tech we create actually has a purpose and a positive place in the world.
